Top 5 places to buy maternity clothes around Seattle
You’re growing a human and that means you don’t have time to bounce around from store to store just to see if they have something in your style, something in your budget, or maternity clothes at all. That’s why I’ve done the bouncing around for you to compile a list of stores you should check out if it’s time to update your closet.
1. Village Maternity - This female owned shop has been operating locally since 1983! They aim to be more than just a clothing and baby store by being a community resource as well. Get stylish pieces like this cozy sweater or these nursing pajamas that are made from natural materials that are free from toxins and perfumes. They’ve got you covered with everything from maternity to baby clothing and even gifts in timeless, neutral colors. They even offer private shopping for those of us who can be overwhelmed by all the options and aren’t sure where to begin. Buying clothes can be hard enough - even more so with growing baby bumps and changing hormones. Located in University Village in Seattle, it’s a great place to shop and not worry so much about those typical Seattle parking fees. 2. Old Navy - You can’t beat the accessibility and affordability in the greater Seattle areas. Basic Pieces at an affordable cost for everything from bras and underwear, jeans, pajamas, even this sweater that I can’t get enough of.
3. Tuesday - Tuesday is the online shop of a Tacoma based designer and her incredible pieces are all made by hand. These kimonos are so beautiful and versatile. They can be dressed up or down so from Zoom meetings to date night, these dresses literally have you covered. It’s something you can wear well into pregnancy then continue to wear afterwards. Not to mention, each one is hand dyed so you always know you’re wearing something one-of-a-kind. I definitely just added one to my Christmas list!
4. Childish Things - While they do have a great selection of up to date fashions for babies and kids, they also have a great selection of maternity wear! This consignment shop is located in North Seattle and only accepts gently used clothing in excellent condition. Maternity clothing is within 3 years old so you can keep your style current, while growing a baby, imagine that. 5. Nordstrom - With stores all over the Seattle area as well as online options coupled with the option to get your garments quickly altered and hemmed, I couldn’t not give them a mention. In the event someone schedules a big...erhm event while you’re pregnant, You know you can get something of quality and get fast with a famous return policy. On the flip side, they’ve also got everything from maternity bras to these awesome leggings.
