If you’re at all like me, the last couple of days have been mentally overwhelming. In a time that feels like the overwhelming news just keeps coming, I’ve been in sort of a fog since hearing about the potential for Roe. V Wade to be overturned. Even still, I know it’s important to us for our community and others to know exactly where we, as a doula agency stand. 

Yes, I’m a doula. That means I have the absolute honor of being invited into a persons birth space and seeing life come into the world and parents transform. I get to be in people’s homes after they bring their baby home, again seeing transformations of both babies and family relationships- it’s beautiful and I love it. I’m quick to tell anyone who will listen just how lucky I am to have this career.  It’s my job to provide emotional, physical, and educational support before, during, and after pregnancy. That includes supporting my clients decision - which at times is no decision at all - to safely end their pregnancy. 

It isn’t my job at any point in your pregnancy or postpartum period to judge you. It’s my job to be right there for you. To share my resources, to hold your hand, to be one of your biggest supporters. I don’t need to share the stories and reasons people may have. The fact that you are human and deserve to make your own choices about your own body is all the reason I need. 

You don’t have to tell us your reasons or you can tell us all your reasons. You are always safe with us and we will always listen. That’s quite literally what we’re here for. We will stand by your side today and every day, no matter what happens. If you want to talk or if you need someone who can simply exist with you while you process, our team is here for ALL your decisions.
